License Course Offerings

MVYSA has a minimum license requirement for all coaches. All coaches you must present a license in the US Soccer Connect system prior to our issuing a card (coaches are exemption from the upload requirement for fall 2018 ONLY, but still required to meet the license requirement). USSF has adopted a new Grassroots license program. Three of the 4 new Grassroots courses meet our minimum requirement - 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11. They require the coach to take a free introductory course. As of 8/28/2018 all of the online grassroots courses are available!

To take the introductory course go here - USSF Digital Coaching Center and sign up. Once signed up click on Courses on page top. Choose Available Courses, then choose Introduction under Grassroots pathway. The course takes about 20 minutes. After taking introductory course a coach can then take the appropriate level license course.

Older courses that meet our minimum requirement are the Youth Module II, (not YM I), F E, D and higher USSF licenses. NSCAA (Now called United Soccer Coaches) diplomas when approved by our executive director can meet our requirment.

We encourage all coaches to engage in continuing improvement in their skills by taking additional license courses and diplomas beyond the minimum requirement.

How to access and take U.S. Soccer's Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module:
--Visit U.S. Soccer's Digital Coaching Center (DCC).
--Sign up (free of charge) or log-in to your DCC profile.
--Select "Courses" from the top menu.
--Under "Available Courses", select "Grassroots" then "Begin Course" to launch the introductory module.
--Complete U.S. Soccer's Introduction to Grassroots Coaching.

How to access and take a U.S. Soccer's Grassroots Online License:
--Visit U.S. Soccer's Digital Coaching Center (DCC).
--Sign up (free of charge) or log-in to your DCC profile.
--Select "Courses" from the top menu.
--Under "Available Courses", select "Grassroots Courses", "Online Courses", then "7v7,9v9, or 11v11 Course"
--Select "Begin Course", check boxes, select "Enter Discount Code"
