Marketing Committee Meeting Report – 5/15/2006

5. Overview (see background sheet)
   1. Structure

                                                               i.      RHC will seek and get monies from field sponsors

                                                             ii.      Either group may obtain an event sponsorship with ok from the other.

                                                            iii.      Thunder will receive all other monies from all other income sources

2. 10 teams have applied (8 from Canada)
3. Goal (adjusted to fit new sponsor plan)

                                                               i.      $4,500 ads/sponsors

                                                             ii.      $2,500 Dream Soccer

                                                          iii.      $7,000 total

                                                           iv.      If we exceed our goal then the Thunder Board will decide use of this new money

4. All monies are tax deductible because both RHC and Thunder are 501c3 charitable organizations.

   5. Team contactor (contact each team rep to get list of advertisers with contact, phone, email, address, relation) – Cindy Hawkins
10. Leslie suggested placing brightly colored form seeking contact info at tryout registration
11. Jody reported that Tony Cooper had contacted Jane Deere about a grant from Rotary for Dream Soccer
12. Laura has contacted TGI Fridays about food card – When they do it they return 15% of each purchase and they normally do on a week day.  The manager said he would like to work with us and Laura has a meeting arranged.
13. Jennifer did a great presentation on the pyramid we will use to contact potential sponsors.
14. Tasks assigned for next meeting
    1. Add at least 5 new entries to the advertiser list
    2. Link at least 5 advertisers to players/parents with a note and additional contact info.
    3. Think about names of those we might contact for the Event and Dream Soccer Sponsor levels.
15. Reviewed tryout advertising – 2 sign boards posted, Jody may be able to put sign opposite IH on north 68, flyers to Jody for this weekend
16. Next Meeting – Wednesday, May24, 7:00 PM at Rocking Horse Center board room – enter the alcove on the west side of building through the iron gate and then go in the first door to the left
