Marketing Committee Meeting Report – 6/27/2006

- The holiday is over
and we are drawing closer to the start of the Charity Cup. Several have
reported progress in selling ads. I have listed them below. When would
be a good time next week for a short meeting? Send me a reply and I’ll
set the date as best fits the group.
- Please keep making
contacts. Let me know so I can share with the team so we don’t make any
double hits.
- Applications from
teams are going great! We had 11 applications by July 4 last year and we
have 29 this year.
- I have sold an ad for
the ¾ of the front page to Home City Bank for $400
- I have made a sponsor
request to Springfield Foundation. It is likely that we won’t get
anything this year because of their financial cycle.
- Cindy Skeens has sold
a ½ page ad to Mercy Urgent Care
- Michelle Goodfellow
has a 1/2 page add confirmed by International Harvester Employee Credit
Union
- Leslie Vasquez -
Finally connected with Eric Laughlin - he said their tapped out right now
- have been receiving numerous requests and they do contribute to Rocking
Horse. He did say we could send them info next year.
- Leslie Vasquez - I
finally connected with the correct person at Coke and have faxed info to
him. His name is Eric Pfifner (District Sales Manager for Dayton area).
He won't make a decision until sometime after the holiday. Here too I
promoted the Dream Soccer, but also let him know we didn't have an Event
Sponsor signed up.

setting up a meeting with John Landess of Turner Foundation for her and
me.
- Laura Watkins -
Country Inn and Suites has shown interest in advertising, Laura has sent
materials.
- Where are the
brightly colored forms designed to seek additional contact info from
parents/coaches attending the tryout registration?
