I spoke to the u9 girls on Tuesday. No volunteers to help out but
interest in finding sponsors. I went to u12 boys practice last night and
no parents were there at the time I made it. My son wasn't at practice so
I will have to call them individually. Heard back from Fifth Third and
they are not able to help out this year. Still trying to find some more.
Will notify.

Marine-No, Kapp Construction-No, Buckles-left message for Mr Buckles with
secretary and explained in detail, Faxed papers to them. Foreman-left mess
for Dean Blair with details Jeff Wyler-faxed request to Duane Dodds and
followed with phone call-v mail asking if going to do anything. No
response Spfld Ford--left mess with Eric Collins, C & N-will do FULL PAGE
AD---Need dimensions to give to them!! $200.00 coming! (received by Gene),
Emailed U10 girls team parents about happy ads.
- Kathy Nash - I am
meeting with Urbana Physical Therapy tomorrow to get ad copy for a half
page ad., I have faxed info to my orthopedist, and am supposed to call
back on Monday, Has anyone contacted Rittal yet? I can ask Jim to pass
papers to the powers that be there if no one has. What about the
Springfield Thunder bank contact? We could also try there.
- Leslie Vasquez - my
update: contact made with Coke representative - wants to know what soda
(coke or pepsi) will be served at the tournament before any decision can
be made about possible donation. Meeting with on Tuesday at the Turner
Foundation with John Landess, Sophia Vandiford, Gene and Leslie. Will
send email/call team parents over the weekend.
- Laura Watkins - have
contacted several realtors they are to get back to me. I got the updated
list for the U11 girls yesterday. So I will be contacting them today as
well as Kirk Ellis team. I have not heard back from the Country Inn and
Suites on Advertising. I will recontact them today to see if they have
made a decision. I spoke to Jim Nash yesterday and he sent out the happy
ad information to the team. I also spoke to my friend who has a heating
and air business they are to get back with me also. Have you gotten the
ad for Marriott? (no) I have received the check for $225. I haven't heard
back from any of my contacts but I contacted a few more people today.
- Jody Distl has not
has any luck with restaurants

Wyler sent me a letter explaining that they would not be helping out.
Wonder if we might get some sales personnel to buy business card ads? I
also have received the check from C&N for $200, contacted Mark Miller at
National Trails about an ad for Splash Zone they have no budget. I meet
with Missy on Friday at Wal-Mart and left information. She will get with
Store manager and call back. I asked coaches to recruit some additional
volunteers to replace those who have dropped off and those who have not
responded no response.
- Tony Cooper has got
$500 from Rotary for Dream Soccer and is working on a $500 sponsorship
from CRSI
- Submit all
advertising or sponsor agreements, money and artwork to Laura Watkins.
- Committee members
are reminded of our goal to contact every parent on each Thunder team to
find potential ad sources and encourage spirit messages.
