3.      Committee Reports and Assignments

a.       Management – Gene Pitstick

                                 i.      50 apps in – 38 from outside and 12 Thunder teams. We have accepted 50 teams, 46 have confirmed, and 33 have paid.  Special Thanks to Jennifer Smith for making calls to U10B and U11B coaches.  We added a U10B, 2 U11Bs and a U13B team at $175 each to complete those age groups.  I am completing arrangements for a U13G team to fill that age group.  Teams in each age group:

                               ii.      Announcement made at boys and girls divisioning meeting to fill in brackets

                              iii.      The deadline for submitting an application was extended to July 31.

                             iv.      A third round of Emails was sent to all MVYSA coaches and all OSYSA coaches on the email list.

                               v.      All teams who have not paid yet have been contacted and arrangements made.

                             vi.      Updated Site map on website

                            vii.      Schedule is complete.  It was published (put up on website) at 11:30 today.

                          viii.      Created pdf for Spirit messages and placed on Thunder website with message to coaches.

                             ix.      Updated rules to conform with CONCACAF requirements.

                               x.       Jay and I meet with Miste Adams at National Trails, reviewed several items and signed contract

                             xi.      Do we have any sources of sod?

b.      Ref assigner – John Kingham - absent

                                 i.      Assigning referees to games this evening

                               ii.      I will have 56 referees working the tournament, with approx 30-32 working each day

                              iii.      Reminder of offer to loan radios from Ohio Cup

c.       Sponsor – Jennifer Sheehan- on vacation (Emailed report)

                                 i.      I am returning tomorrow.  I met with Paul Cross before I left and with Marybeth Sheehan and talked to Vince Chase.  The truck is a go.  Marybeth is ordering food, grills, etc.  Paul was supposed to contact the Health Department.  Kiwanis will have some volunteers, RHC staff will help a little.  We will need help from parents from Thunder for sure this year.  I put together a schedule for Paul to give to Deanna to fill in the gaps.  Call me if you need anything.  I have Betsy and Scott, my interns working on food for the referees and trinkets. 

                               ii.      Jennifer has 6 field sponsors with two more potentials.  If we add a sponsor late we can do an insert in program.

                              iii.      Do we need to contact rotary about payment for the 4 handicapped porta-johns?

d.      Advertising/Sponsorships – Kirk Box – on vacation

                                 i.      Status of Spirit Messages?

                               ii.      Status of Walmart appeal (they didn’t pay the $100 promised last year)?

                              iii.      Status of ads sold and copy?

                             iv.      Status of call to Tom Pamer about sign painting/printing?

e.       Program – Cindy Beckdahl

                                 i.      Over night security has been posted

                               ii.      Needs all program materials ASAP

f.        Promotions – Tony Cooper

                                 i.      Dream Soccer has 29 players attending training sessions this week

                               ii.      Plans are for 5 games starting at 6:00 PM on Friday August 12

g.       T-shirt/Awards – Tim Halloran, Laura Fulton

                                 i.      Laura’s check with Northwestern about borrowing their golf cart(s) has got no reply from Brad Beals yet

                               ii.      T-shirts will be ordered tomorrow.  Awards and medals have been ordered

                              iii.      T-shirt preorders are rolling in.  Coaches can send them to Laura Fulton

                             iv.       Gene will get them a cash box for t-shirt tent

h.       Site – John Berry

                                 i.      John has arranged for increase in porta-johns order to 12 from Country John.

                               ii.      Corner flags - Gene has 3 sets ordered, Miste says we can use any or all of those in storage building.

                              iii.       John and Gene will be on site on Friday Aug 12th to coordinate setup

i.         Housing/Registration - Chris Watkins

                                 i.       Have registrations workers arrive early to be trained

                               ii.       Need 5 at a time to do registration

j.        Personnel – Deanna Brougher and Lisa Webb

                                 i.      Deanna is working on finding alternative from among Mann, Vince, and County Wide for an extra dumpster.  Miste says its ok with National Trails

                               ii.       Carts and ref food on schedule

k.      Concessions – Paul Cross

                                 i.      Eric Laughlin will loan 10KV generator and 2security light.

                               ii.      Robin DiMicheal h399-5613, c215-3747 will help Paul

                              iii.      Laura is working on a donation of Pork chops

l.         Fun/Special Events – Jennifer Smith

                           i.      Suzy Pullins is checking to see if we can use NW dunk booth.

                         ii.      Gene and Jay will erect a net to backstop speed timer

4.      Club Business – Jay Serve – in Texas

a.       Coaches meeting Sunday 8/7/05 at the Eagle City shelter to meet to set the Hazard training schedule at 7:00 pm 

5.      Next Leadership Committee Meeting – Tuesday August 9 8:00 PM at 4305 Phoenix Dr.
