Charity Cup

The club sponsors the annual Charity Cup each year in
August. This year it is August
20-21, 2011. Any parent who would like to serve on the
Cup Committee this year should contact the tournament director

Tournament. If interested contact Molly Price at

2011-12 teams formed

Thunder will have 21 U8 to U15 teams this fall and 6 U15-U19 teams in
the spring. This continues our pattern of growth over the past 3
years. Thunder is now one of the top 3 clubs for number of teams
in the Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association.

the board were adopted.

Trainer/Director of Coaching

The Board of the Springfield Thunder Soccer Club is happy to announce
that Nick Roberts is our new Director of Coaching/Trainer. We had lots
of interest in the position and Nick is the boards choice. He brings a
wealth of experience to our club. Nick has an USSF A license and NSCAA
Premier Diploma, both are the highest possible in the United States. He
the current Head Men’s soccer coach at Urbana University since 2008.
Prior to that served 2 years as Assistant Men’s Soccer coach at
Wittenberg University, ran Premier Sports Group for 12 years, was
Director of Coaching and Player Development, Santa Rosa United in
California for 4 years, Assistant Coach and Head Scout for the Columbus
Crew, MLS for 7 years, Head coach and Professional player with Columbus
USL 2 years, General Manager Great Britain-Buckeye Soccer Camps for 2
years.
One Call Now - Springfield Thunder Soccer
Club will continue to purchase the One Call Now service for each of the club teams
for the fall 2011 and spring 2012 seasons. This service allows the
coach or his designee to make one call to the service and the service
than makes calls to each parent on the team.
